Predator is a science fiction/action/horror film written by Jim Thomas and John Thomas, directed by John McTiernan and starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jesse Ventura, Carl Weathers and Kevin Peter Hall. It was released in June 1987 and distributed by 20th Century Fox.

The film follows the efforts of a unit to retrieve hostages from a guerilla group within Central America. However, they are soon hunted by an extraterrestrial being, the title character. It is the first in a film series, preceding its sequel, Predator 2 (1990).

Gloves (Time: 15:16)
Billy is wearing gloves as he discovers the hanging body's left by the predator, but after the camera angle changes and the birds fly away he's not wearing any gloves.

Dog tags (Time: 15:56)
When Dutch catches the dog tag thrown by Mac. The tags are seen in one position, but when the camera angle shifts, they change in orientation. When the angle returns, the position of the tags is as it was before.

Gun cocked (Time: 26:42) - Audio/Visual
When Anna is sneaking up on Dutch, Dutch reacts to the sound of her gun being cocked and knocks her unconscious, but all she does is hold the gun.

Scorpion orientation (Time: 31:08)
The orientation of the scorpion changes a complete 180 degrees after Mac crushes it with his boot

Mud on face (Time: 1:15:34)
After climbing out of the water Dutch's face is only half covered with mud, but after he climbs to the tree roots his entire face is covered with mud.

Leaning against tree (Time: 1:31:30)
As the predator is taking off its mask, Dutch is leaning against a tree. When seeing through the Predator's vision, he is standing, also facing a different direction. When the camera returns, Dutch is leaning again.

Predator Growling (Time: 1:31:50)
The same footage of the predator growling is used twice.

Factual Errors

  • Towards the end of the film, Dutch uses mud to make himself invisible to the predator's heat vision. In reality, mud wouldn't actually stop his body from radiating thermal energy.
