Retro Robot holds the right to record the basic information stored by any website. This includes:
- - Web Browser details (Browser version, screen resolution, OS versions, etc.)
- - IP Addresses
- - Referral URLs (The website from which you were directed)
Retro Robot promises not to disclose this information unless required to do so by law. E-mail addresses are only used as a means of notifying members of changes to pages being watched, in accordance with your designated preferences. Administrative users may be contacted via e-mail for conference.
Your data will be used only to determine:
- - The location of visitors. This does not apply to individual observation. All data is anonymous, and will only be used in the interest of the users. (E.g. to know of specific time zones, and to be available accordingly.)
- - How many people visit/re-visit the website.
- - Which sites offer referral links, and how successful they are.
Sign-up/Log-in
When creating an account, no personal information is required, except for your e-mail address. Personal information may be included, but is not required to be true. Retro Robot does not require detailed information of its users and will not distribute personal details to third party organisations, unless its domain and hosting service is acquired by another company.
If using a public computer, remember to remove all cookies and clear your cache after visiting Retro Robot, as personal data may be stored by your web browser. Enabling cookies is required for logging in.
Contribution
When submitting to Retro Robot, your contributions are made public. All data will be retained forever, within a page's history, and through data storage of the website. This includes both articles and user-related pages. When posting, your user name, and therefore your personal data, is attached to the submitted information. This means that Retro Robot can use this information to intervene, in the interest of breaching the rules of submission. Creating multiple accounts, editing against the rules of the site policy and vandalising contributions are bannable offenses.
